Recently, a WaveRunner owner approached us with a challenge: design a custom set of two-piece gunnel traction pads for his 2022 Yamaha FX SVHO Limited that would fit seamlessly over the existing hull cleats. Vision: The Perfect Combination of Stylish Design and Excellent Grip

The goal was clear: create traction pads that enhanced control during high-speed maneuvers without disrupting the WaveRunner’s sleek aesthetics. The customer wanted pads placed forward and behind the cleats, ensuring secure foot placement while maintaining the jet ski’s streamlined profile.

The customer measured the dimensions at the motorboat dealer, marked them on a file, and sent them to us based on the 3D scans provided by the dealer. Our designers drew the design of the side of the FX SVHO based on the dimensions and scans provided by the customer. The side profile of the Limited is accurate to the millimeter level.
